Meet and Greet

If you are looking for a fun afternoon activity to get outside, enjoy the summer weather and visit with some absolutely amazing animals, our Bird of Prey Meet and Greet program is the perfect experience for you! 


What to Expect

Join us for a relaxing hour in the beautiful afternoon weather as you visit with our birds in the shade. Meet them up close and personal as you put on a glove and handle a bird of prey as you learn about the unique characteristics of that species as well as the individual bird. Learn about the amazing art of falconry and the very long history of working with birds of prey!

After handling, spend the rest of your time with us visiting with the birds and exploring our hands-on table! Feel a bird's wing as you learn about how birds fly, explore what an owl ate, see how heavy these birds can be and more!

Good things to know about our Bird of Prey Meet and Greet

• Meet and Greet experiences run 6 days a week, from Wednesday to Monday. 

  • Seasonal availability from mid-April to the end of October/early November as weather permits.

• Payment is due in advance for the Meet and Greet Experience to reserve your date.

• There is no flying of the birds of prey during this experience but you get plenty of hands-on visiting.

• Kids must be ages 8+ to handle a bird of prey. If the child is too short even at age 8+, we reserve the right to ask them to sit out of the program for their safety. Please contact us in advance if you have concerns.

• Maximum group size of 6 individuals. Please contact us in advance if you wish to book more than 6 participants.

• Photos and questions are welcome through the entire session.

• Due to their outdoor nature, our experiences are weather dependent. We will contact you in the evening prior to your experience day to notify you of the possibility of rescheduling to your back-up date. 

• Wear clothing suitable to the weather on the day of your experience as we are outdoors. Bug spray and sunscreen are highly recommended through the summer months.
